Happy Saturday...

This morinin's post has a few things in it... First off, is
  • Raf's Interview
  • over at
  • comicon.com
  • ... He talks about "The Apocalypse Plan", one of his several projects bein' published by
  • Narwain
  • ... Along with the interview, is a 5 page preview of the book, with art by Aaron Kuder (And it's Beautimous)... This book is gonna kick some major ass, and prove what I and many others already know, that Rafael Nieves is a brilliant writer whose "Come Uppance" is right around the corner... Check out the interview and art, maybe even leave a comment on what you think about it... Show your support, cuz' in the end, all we've got is each other...

Secondly, here's a post-it doodle I did after noshin' on some Chicago's Pizza... It felt kinda' blah, and like such a generic lil sketch... Well,
  • Norm
  • saw it, and asked for a scan... I hooked him up with it, and the next day, he emailed this colorful piece to me... It got lost amongst all my crap, but I found it, and wanted to share it with you guys and girls...

Thirdly, a few more older sketch-a-doodles of mine...

I have a tendency to not be able to throw things away... Even small bits of bristol board... I figure they might make for cool disposable pieces of sketchin' paper... And, this is one of them...

When I used to be an usher at the Auditorium Theatre, I had visual access to many different kinds of people... They came from all walks of life, and this lady was no exception... This is what she looked like, all I did was make her look cartoony... I just might use this design for something, someday...

Yes... I saw "Finding Nemo" a few days before drawin' this...

I doodled this one while waitin' for my Momz delayed flight... It's a good thing I brought my sketchbook with me, cuz' it was 3 and a half hours late...

Well, that's it for this post... Check out that
  • Interview
  • , grab your doodlin' supplies, go down to a public place and sketch out some stuff or people or what have you... Get out there be creative and have some fun...

    Much Love,

    Tony

    Chicago's RedLine L Sketches...

Here's another "Oldie" post... Back when I used to take the RedLine to work everyday, the only thing that would make that long-ass commute bearable, was that I'd sketch people on the train... It was a great way to warm-up before gettin' into work and capture so many different looks... Occasionally, someone might see that I was drawin' them, which usually resulted in them either hidin' behind their Sun-Times, or muggin' for the cartoonist (Which would piss me off, especially if I was happy with the sketch)... However, others were so oblivious to everything, they made easy targets... Ahhh, Good Times, Good Times...

    If I find anymore, I'll post'em...

    Later,

    Update Time...
I know it's been over a week, but here we go... First off, my apologies to those who have seen these "Oldies" already... I have posted these on the
  • Drawing Board Forums
  • before, but not here... More later, when I get a minute...

Just a few Warm-Up Sketch-A-Doodles... Just how I start a day of "Arting" for someone else... I'll usually throw some grey tones on later, dependin' on how much time I've got available to warm-up...

    "Domo Arrigato, Mr. Roboto"...

I liked this little guy, so he got his own page...

    Later,

"A Valentine's Day Card in March"?!? You ask loudly...

    Kinda'...

This was one that I did that was actually on time this year, but only thought of postin' just now... I thought I'd put the sketch and vector art together side by side, instead of two different pieces...

Anywho, check it, and I'll catch you next time...

"Blasto from El Pasto 2: Los Caballeros...

This Suave and Debonair Gentleman is my Gramps, the Patriarch of the Rivera Family... As cool as superheros and moviestars can be, this man is above all, my Hero... A huge influence on the man I am today... Thanks abuelo...

This my first cousin Ricardo... Back durin' a time when we saw alot of each other, and unfortunately wore matchin' sunvisors... Ricky always had a big ol' smile for the camera...

Again, not an oldie, but the only pic of my little cousin Alexis I have... He is Nicole's dad and quite the character... I look forward to goin' back to Puerto Rico to spend some time with my family, and come back with new pics to share...

Last, but certainly not least, is moi... It is my belief that I just woke up... I mean, look at those sleepy eyes, and that, hair... Ah yes, the hair... I think the next time I post pics, I shall share the history of my "Big Hair"... Prepared to be HORRIFIED...

Well, that's it for "Blasto from El Pasto" this time around... I hope you enjoyed them... See ya' next time...

    PEACE!!!

    T...
Another "Blasto from El Pasto"... This time it's mi Familia that I'm sharin' with you folks today... I'll be startin' off with the ladies...

This Ravishin' lady is my Grandmother, the matriarch of our small clan... I'm not sure who the kid is, but this is my favorite picture of my Grandmother from way back in the day... Muy caliente...

Here we have my Momz... She was such an adorable kid, and if you know my Mom, this pic is so her... A classic beauty at such an early age...

This LiL one is my TiTi Olga... Who looks as if she's auditionin' for the "Little Rascals" in this pic... She would totally have kicked Butch's ass...

While this one is not an "Oldie", it is my cousin's Amazin' Daughter, Nicole... It's so hard not to gush over such a cutie... But c'mon, look at her... She's smart, personable, and on her way to bein' Puerto Rico's greatest import... Watch out world...

Well, that's it for the WomenFolk... Next, will be the Guys...
